China Increases ASF Self-Checks in Pig Slaughterhouses

China is requiring pig slaughterhouses to conduct self-checks monitored by veterinarians to curb the spread of African swine fever (ASF), according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Monday. Corn Planting: All States Behind Five-Year Average

As of April 28, USDA reports 15% of the nation’s corn crop is planted. That is the same percentage as this week last year but compares to a five-year average of 27% planted by late April.
